When it comes to “knowing,” everyone seems to have it all figured out. But people rarely take into account that our “knowing” is a mere reflection of who we are and what we have experienced day in and day out. A problem with this is that we, as people, tend to generalize our own feelings and reflect it on the people in front of us. Then when they act differently from what we expected, we automatically get upset. Here is where I emphasize the importance of communication between any two parties. It is not safe to assume that what we believe to be wrong/right, hurtful/innocent, thoughtful/careless is in sync with the person in front of you. Keep in mind that everyone’s life experiences vary from person to person. Even from day to day. What you believe today, you may no longer believe tomorrow. If you intend to act on your feelings, it is important for these feelings to be expressed to those around you so that everyone is on the same page. After all, we’re only human…not mind readers, unfortunately.

Went to Porky’s last night with a few friends and had such a good time! The DJ was spinning hott music all night with remix’s I’ve never heard but HAVE to get my hands on. The All American Rejects happened to be there as well – chillin’ in the DJ Booth. Of course, the infamous fish bowls did not let me, or anyone in there down. They are insanely good but I highly recommend to share – has to be at least 10 drinks in one bowl. I had the “Blue Lagoon” and it tasted like candy but the sweetness did not get overwhelming.

Sitting at a cafe studying and [part of] the conversation behind me is as follows:
Girl 1: “It’s just that my mom doesn’t trust you”
Girl 2: “I know your parents do not like me, and I see where they are coming from, but I want you to see where I am coming from.”

This is an artist that I recently discovered and really appreciate. Of course I have to represent her, being that I am Armenian!! It has a catchy rhythm that makes me want to dance. Qele Qele simply means “Come with” – so she is saying “Come with me. Move with me”

The start to many of my day
Good morning Blogworld! Nothing beats a fresh cup of coffee to start off my day. What do you all “need” to get your day rolling?
I’m a big fan of The Golden Girls and have most probably seen every episode out there. The show is not of my time, but man is it good! These ladies always get me laughing. Are any of you fans of the golden crew?? Or was I just born in the wrong generation? ha!
